The real struggle with doing things one-on-one is that there is only so much time. And while I love, love, LOVE working with people and helping them one-on-one with acupuncture, I think a lot about my time at Mirmont Treatment Center, when I worked in the detox lounge helping dozens of people each day through their early stages of withdrawal.

May is home to both Mother’s Day AND Mental Health Awareness month, which feels appropriate to me because being a mother has reintroduced a lot of my mental health struggles. Those struggles are actually what originally brought me to acupuncture.
